Your font is your resume clothing: quiet, clean, fitting. Fancy fonts distract and fail in parsing systems.

Safe fonts

  • Classic: Garamond, Georgia or Cambria for conservative industries.
  • Neutral: Calibri, Arial or Helvetica – readable everywhere, including tracking systems.
  • Avoid: script fonts, narrow condensed faces and anything under 10 points.

Sizes and spacing

  • Body text: 10 to 11 points, line spacing 1.0 to 1.15.
  • Headings: 13 to 16 points, one step per level.
  • Contrast: dark grey beats black for calm; colour only as an accent.

Every editor template uses tracking-safe fonts in tested sizes – you only pick the style.
